OFFICE MANAGER

Desert Hearing Care is looking for a mature, reliable, experienced person to manage the daily activity of our central office. This position is non-supervisory. You will proactively generate practice revenue by converting patient inquiries into appointments, maintain and leverage the patient database; recall existing patients; provide exceptional customer service; account for company transactions; verify insurance benefits; and manage patient flow.

Minimum Position Requirements:
  • Two year advanced business education degree
  • Two years office management experience
  • QuickBooks; scheduling/database software; MS Office
  • Great listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be PC and internet proficient.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Convert inquiries into appointments; centralized multi-office patient scheduling; recall existing patients
  • Customer service including processing repairs, cleaning aids, selling batteries, extended warranties, assistive listening devices and other products and services
  • General accounting (QuickBooks) including AR, AP, Payroll & bank reconciliations
    • Insurance verification
  • General office management including inventory control, reordering, processing new and existing patients, periodic performance/management reports
The ideal candidate will also possess:
  • Neat, professional appearance and telephone manner
  • Positive, assertive attitude dedicated to quality
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task with attention to details
  • Outgoing self-starter, self-motivated and able to work independently
This is a non-smoking, health conscious office. Work hours are 8:30 to 5 pm, Monday-Friday.
